I have had this cat scratching post in my home for at least 10 years. I have had to replace the base after 6 years of hard use (cat claws) and now with our new cat I have had 6 more years before replacing the post. This is a great product and I will continue to purchase whatever needs to be replaced because no other product even comes close!

We had a cheap cat scratch post set and I wanted to replace one of the short ones with purrfect post. Thank God my hubby knew to inscrew the base and screw it in under the base. Worked purrfect! Cat loves it!!!

I have had the scratcher for many years and have even replaced the post twice, my cats love it, they never use my furniture because of this and it holds up very well with five cats
