My mom had one and told me that it was the best one she had found. I have 6 cats and go through trees, posts, boxes, etc. This is truly the best scratching post we've ever bought. The bad scratchers took to it immediately, and it distracts them from my couch.

This scratching post was recommended to me by a friend years ago. She said it was THE BEST. She was right! I'm on my third one in about 9 years, because it's always the cats' favorite and gets used A LOT. They are sturdy enough for the cats to actually climb on it or lean against it and it doesn't know over. And the sisal (sp?) is reall high quality! They last a long time! Best purchase ever.
Definitely the perfect post!

My cats actually use these posts, so I think they're awesome! I have several. They're very sturdy, heavier than the "big-box store" alternatives, and are more attractive than the ones that are completely carpet-covered.
