149. No Furniture Damage

     Our three cats love their post (their third, in fact), and do not scratch any furniture in the house--great solution, and it even looks OK in a corner of the living room. Far sturdier than others we've seen.

150. A SCRATCHING POST THAT LASTS

     It took my 2 cats 8 years to shred the first one and they loved it, used it all day every day. They never scratch my furniture. They were already scratching the post of the new one before I got it attached to the base! There was no need for the catnip that comes with it, for my cats it was enough to have just been in the same box. Other things I love about this post:
     It's tall enough for my larger cat to get a full stretch and it doesn't tip over when he uses it.
     
     The smaller cat likes to climb all the way up and stand on the top which fits all four of his paws.
     
     This one has the sisal covered base as well so I can stop getting flat ones from the pet store that wear out too fast.

     13 years ago, (2003), I went searching for a scratching post as we had just taken in an abandoned 2-3 year old male cat. As Bogart (his new name) had been an outdoor cat, I was afraid that he would begin using rugs, furniture etc. as he transitioned to being an indoor cat. Bogart is a long, 14 pound guy. He immediately began using the Purrfect Post and 13 years later, it's the only thing he uses. He can completely and SECURELY stretch out/up - which is important as he does have anxiety. In 2005 when we adopted Sierra as a kitten, she followed Bogart everywhere and soon began to use the Purrfect Post as well. It has been so successful, we have one on each level of our 3 floor townhome! We have had no issues with any of our cats clawing on the furniture or rugs. They all love them, as do we. The dark wood ones are an attractive addition to each level of our house. Thank you Dr. Schelling

152. Best scratching post ever!

     My cat loves her new post and so do I. It was easy to put together and unbelievably sturdy. She also loves the catnip and the box it was shipped in. Thanks for a great product made in the USA.
