This automated laser toy moves around randomly. It can navigate itself out of corners and out from under furniture. It shuts off automatically after 10 minutes of play time.
Requires 3 AA batteries, not included.
This laser toy is loads of fun for cats because it moves around randomly, giving your cat something to chase and pounce on without you having to hold the laser toy.
Encourages exercise for indoor cats.
When using a laser toy to play with your cat, it's best to end the play session by tossing your cat a toy to catch at the end, since the laser dot can never be caught. It also helps to give your cat a treat after he or she is finished attacking the toy, so the hunting instincts are satisfied.
Slow it down
Posted by Glen Janken on 30th Apr 2018
The robot would be better if it paused for longer, more significant amounts of time so that the cat can study, prepare, and pounce on it while it is still. It moves around too much so that my cat is somewhat reduced to just watching it.
A note from PurrfectPost.com:
Thank you for your review. Each cat has a different personality and play strategies that may affect how they interact with this and other toys. We contacted the company with your comments and asked whether there were settings that could be adjusted to slow it down, and this is the response:
"There isn’t a way to change the settings, but we will take it into account for future updates to the product. The cats may need a period of time to get used to the noise and movement of the toy before interacting with it. Once they do, the noise will alert them that it is play time, and the movement will have random pauses that entice them to pounce."
We hope this helps, and thanks again.
