Product Description

Be kind to your feline with Dr. Catsby's Whisker Relief Bowl

Dr. Catsby's Whisker Relief Bowl is designed to avoid pushing a cat's whiskers back when the kitty is eating. Cats' whiskers contain sensitive nerve endings which help them navigate dark environments. For some cats, the repeated pushing back of the whiskers that can occur when eating from deeper, narrower bowls causes pain.

Some indications that your cat may suffer from whisker fatigue include:

  • Pulling food out of the bowl with a paw to eat it from the ground.
  • Messy eating, leaving food bits around the floor near the bowl.
  • Aggression toward other pets or people in the home around mealtimes.
  • Approaching the food bowl, acting hungry, but hesitating to eat.
  • Refusing to eat the last bit of food in the bowl; demanding that it be kept full at all times.

Be kind to your feline with Dr. Catsby's Whisker Relief Bowl

The Whisker Relief Bowl is wide and shallow, allowing a cat to get to all of the food out without having the sides of the bowl push back uncomfortably on sensitive whiskers.

Other benefits of this special bowl include:

  • Made of stainless steel, to protect against the development of bacteria and objectionable tastes and odors.
  • Comes with a non-skid mat to keep the bowl firmly where you set it.
  • Is attractive and stylish.
  • Helps prevent feline acne.

This bowl is best for dry kibble. For water or wet cat food, the slightly deeper, wider Dr. Catsby Stainless Steel Water Bowl is better suited.

Note:  This bowls works best when feeding dry kibble.

Fancy's Review

For years, I had a painful problem, and I didn't know how to tell my human. Every time I tried to eat from my food bowl, its sides pushed my whiskers back. That really hurt, and over time, it got worse and worse. I did the best I could, usually pulling the food out of the bowl with my paw to eat it on the floor, but it was really making me grumpy. Then my human got me a Dr. Catsby's Whisker Relief Bowl. Aaahhh! Now I can eat directly from my bowl, get every morsel out, and not feel any whisker discomfort at all. I feel so much better.

Our Monty has long straight whiskers and this bowl is a perfect!!! Highly recommend.

  2. Our Cats Love Their Whisker Bowls!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th May 2017

Thank you so much for these bowls. Both of our cats love them! We find them to be the perfect size. No food spills out when they eat. We also like how heavy they are and how easy they are to clean. The little non-skid mat that each one sits on is also quite helpful. I have broken many ceramic cat dishes over the years and like that these will never break! Most of all we are pleased with how one of our cats always now eats her food. We didn’t know that some felines can experience whisker pain due to the size or shape of the feeding dish. We had always just thought she was a finicky eater when she would eagerly walk over to eat but then hesitate and turn away. She no longer does this! This bowl has solved the problem, and we are so happy that she can now enjoy her food. Thanks again so much for the high quality item, for the great design, and for your understanding of cats!

  3. Easy to clean & cats like it 5 Star Review

I bought 2 after seeing the info on whisker sensitivity. Both big cats eat all their food now. No mess on the floor, or staring at the bowl when I know they are hungry. I like the nonskid rubber mat under the bowls, and the finger cutout makes it easy to pick up the bowls.

  4. Food pusher 2 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Apr 2017

Our 27 pound Maine Coon pushes his food around as he eats it. Thus, he pushed is out of this bowl and the bowl is proving itself to be unfit for his use.
